The young wines characterized by the very intense tannins aged separately in old oak barrels for two years, prior to blending and bottling in March 2009. Subsequently the wine was cellared for another two years at 14 degrees celsius to allow the tannins to slowly integrate with appealing intense dark plum and aniseed flavours. This savoury, deep and textural Amorone style blend displays a distinctive dried cherry nose and persistent, long lightly puckering palate. Even more complex than previous wine vintages.
