There is no doubt that varietal labelling (i.e. single-variety wines, labelled by the variety) helps make wine approachable and understandable. It does put an emphasis on the variety however, when sometimes the emphasis should be on the vineyard. In other words, letting the character of the site express itself through whatever varieties are best suited, and not being distracted by the characteristics of individual varieties. First made in 2008, this blend received immediate acclaim and success, winnning numerous gold medals.

The red volcanic limestone-containing soils and easterly aspect of Mount Majura Vineyard produce single-vineyard wines of intensity and character.

Typically complex, this signature blend from our vineyard combines spice, black and red fruits with hints of game and new leather. Medium in weight, it is deliciously snappy yet fine and soft.
